Mac McGregor is the Lead AI and Robotics Engineer at Bright Apps, responsible for leading the BrightArc project and its use cases of BrightShields’ drones and Bright360. He has developed the project based on market research, writing government proposals, and planning architecture design, software development, and hardware implementation.
Mac is especially proud to have developed the BrightArc project from the ground up. The BrightArc project is a framework that can provide traditional ML capabilities with situational awareness and is an exciting step in AI-driven robotics. His overall philosophy is not to reinvent the wheel but to use the wheel in a way that has never been imagined. Many of the engineering and physics principles from the past can be applied in new and different ways to today’s problems. All it takes is creative thinking and an innovative approach.
Mac holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering with a Minor in Mathematics from the University of New Mexico, and a B.A. in Liberal Arts from St. Mary’s College as part of the “3-2 Engineering Program.” He is a mechanical engineer with a professional background in AI and data science, with a passion for integrating ethical AI technologies and mechanical systems. Mac has aided Bright Apps over the years with data analysis, machine learning algorithms, quantum security, and now leads a new AI and robotics venture.
